Grackle of dawn

Last week I went to the NC coast and I always enjoy seeing the sunrise on the East Coast. The crisp smell of a new day dawning. It was cold that morning. Breezy and big waves came rolling in under the Kitty Hawk pier.

You wouldn’t think it was April in North Carolina. I was wearing my gloves and still had cold hands. But it sure was pretty.

A new day, just minutes after the lonely cool of dawn.

And when leaving the beach I saw this grackle also got up at the crack of dawn to enjoy the sunrise. Who knew birds enjoy that too 🙂
