First Autumn Blaze

I am sure that the Solidago flower was hired by the universe to tell everyone Autumn is on its way. Last week I was in the VA mountains and they were just everywhere.

Chilly mornings tell it too, but the Goldenrod must be the gentle way of announcing the arrival. Their bright yellow color waving to you in a field or along the road side just gives me that happy feeling.  One last burst of color through September and October.

The Grayson Highland ponies looked even better grazing amongst the Goldenrod. An Autumn blaze of still Summer almost.

It doesn’t get more inviting, does it?
