Out in the woods at Stagville Plantation was this old tobacco curing barn. So pretty…. It made me think of Thoreau’s cabin in the book Walden. It was only missing the pond. But it so could have been the cabin with a little imagination. Loved the huge tree that grew right next to it. Gigantic and full of color still. Just perfectly located. I bet Thoreau could have described the barn, tree and grounds it was on into detail. Just to think of the history of the place it is located in. For me it definitely was a great place to visit to have the camera in hand and trying to capture its beauty.
Be a Columbus to whole new continents and worlds within you, opening new channels, not of trade, but of thought.
~ Henry David Thoreau
