At the end of winter I’m starting to miss all the colors outdoors, so I went to a nursery last week to get some color therapy. They had quite the number of Helleborus plants. Lots of which I’ve never seen. So pretty and was amazed to see so many as the helleborus used to be my favorite and oh so trustworthy flower at the end of Winter.
Their color keeps changing over the blooming period but I particularly like the faded antique pink color and the soft greens. With their flower heads almost always bowed they seem to know that it’s still winter out, but bloom anyways. Out of protest. For that reason alone you gotta love the Helleborus. Such a brave flower.
To link season with season and month with month by a succession of blossom.
