Every leaf speaks bliss to me, fluttering from the Autumn tree.
That’s me….. Well, part of me. Trying to figure out which leaf get’s the honor to be on a picture. If the camera moved just a little to the left, it would have included two soaked doggies too. But it didn’t. I was in search of leaves. Very contrasty leaves. Love going out when it just rained. The colors pop then.
Half of the leaves are on the ground just about now. Some are still hanging on. But the rain is making it hard for them. I still feel like a little kid when leaves are on the ground. Want to start running and get them up in the air 🙂 And… I want to capture them. Hold on to that color a bit longer by doing so. I think it’s the best time of the year, Fall. Don’t get me wrong, I like Summer too. But here in NC it gets hot and by September I’m so done with that. I love the crisper mornings and evenings. The breeze of fresh air. And those colors changing. Yellow, red, orange and warm browns. And when wet, shiny too. So pretty…..
So full of contrast and details. It takes forever to finish my walk on days like this. Am stopping all the time. Look at this mushroom or that yellow leaf. And with some fresh rain on top of it all it looks so pretty. Fall almost feels like the sunset of the year to me. Spectacle to be witnessed and all for free. You just have to go outside and enjoy it. Breath in that Autumn air….
Nature will bear the closest inspection. She invites us to lay our eye level with her smallest leaf, and take an insect view of its plain.
