Central park’s Yellows

When visiting NYC we also walked through Central Park. Love the park right there in the middle of the city that doesn’t sleep. I was pleasantly surprised by the yellow Ginkgo Biloba traces everywhere. It was the beginning of December and there was still Fall color in Central Park? How about that? The yellow showed up in almost every picture I made.

I really like the shape of its leaves. So different than any other.

They had just dropped on the ground and left a beautiful yellow carpet in an always interesting Central Park.

Enjoy people watching in this city with these huge  contrasts. I mean, just a few steps out of the hustle and bustle of crazy busy 5th Ave there are mallards being mallards in the pond.

Just like in the pond close to my home. I always wonder why birds pick a certain place to live. I mean if you have wings you can choose any place to live right? But these two chose the pond in Central park. It reminded me of this quote.

One’s destination is never a place but rather a new way of looking at things.

~Henry Miller

This was their destination I guess. They must have liked what they saw in this pond. Maybe, and it’s just a guess, it was those yellow trees in Fall. 🙂
