“If a frog becomes a king, he will make the whole kingdom muddy!”
―Mehmet Murat ildan
This easily could be my favorite frog of all frogs. He’s always in the same spot at the Raulston arboretum in Raleigh. And I always have to say hi to it, when I’m there. When I was there last it woke up from a midday power nap for me. Guess he was chilling a bit as it was still Summer-ish out even in Fall. I noticed he has gotten some new friends in his little pond this year and for some reason he really tried to look like he was still the king of the pond. The master of his kingdom. As it was trying to tell me his ribbet and croaks should definitely still be considered huge and bigly I guess. Or am I confusing that behavior with human kingdoms and does the animal kingdom have a different set of rules. Who knows? I do hope that kings in any kingdom should not be solely judged by how loud they can croak or ribbet. It could get very muddy, won’t it?
