To appreciate the beauty of ice, it is necessary to stand out in the cold.
Last week or so we had lots of rain followed by some cold days. So ice formed on Bass Lake quickly. Yet the lake’s overflow system was still working to get to it’s normal water level and that resulted in some interesting ice sculpting along the banks of the lake. Love looking for them and photographing them while taking a walk. A little bit cold in the morning, but very rewarding.
